Books to read if you're planning a vacation in "Harrison", sorted by average review score:

Le Roi S'Amuse = the Prince's Play
Published in Paperback by Faber & Faber (August, 1996)
Average review score:

Le Roi s'amuse/The Prince's PlayThe inclusion of Victor Hugo's name and title on the cover is misleading, implying a parallel French/English text. This is an adaptation in verse which moves the setting to London. It's well realized, but if you are looking for the original play, you will be disappointed.

Marshal Zhukov's Greatest Battles
Published in Paperback by Cooper Square Press (July, 2002)
Average review score:

Self Praising and full of riduculously wrong statisticsI have read a few sections of this book and I was a bit disappointed that zhukov only talked about his triumphs and successful manuevers and skipped failures (operation Mars etc). Most disturbing was the fact that the casuality figures of enemies (germans) were highly cockeyed. For instance, he said that the enemy lost 1.5 million soldiers, 3500+ tanks, 3000+ airplanes etc in stalingrad. He actually multiplied each figure with 10. If germans had lost 1.5 million (half of the their original total strength that attacked russia)men in stalingrad they would not have left much to fight with. It could have been called 'Destruction of Army Group South' but we all know that all the South group was not totally destoyed in Stalingrad.

More Energizers and Icebreakers: For All Ages and Stages
Published in Paperback by Educational Media Corp (April, 1994)
Average review score:

useless waste of moneyI needed some easy icebreakers for a bible study group (about 12 people) to help people get to know each other better. I didn't find anything that I could use -- not one. Do a web search on 'icebreakers' instead. You'll find a college website with some good ones.

A Stainless Steel Trio
Published in Paperback by Tor Books (01 June, 2003)
Average review score:

VERY MISLEADING TITLEHearing about a new Stainless Steel Rat book got me excited... until I received it in the mail! The misleading title led me to believe it was a new Slippery Jim story. Not so!
It's three of Harry Harrison's Stainless Steel novels all put together. A waste of money in my opinion.
I'm an avid Stainless Steel Rat lover and I'm a little ticked off at this waste of pages. Yes, I should have looked closer at the fine print, but come on - the cover doesn't say anything about the fact that it's 3 previously published novels.
This is just not right, Harry. We want a new Stainless novel!
